The 5-Step Editorial Workflow

Every article on Quotex passes through five required steps before it can be published. No step can be skipped — articles that fail any step are returned for revision rather than published.

  • Step 1 (Author): Research and outline — author reads existing competitor articles, identifies content gaps, drafts an outline aligned to our Content Quality Standard
  • Step 2 (Author): First-hand verification on the Quotex platform — for strategy and feature content, the author places test trades, takes UTC-timestamped screenshots, and verifies all claims against the live platform
  • Step 3 (Author): Full draft — written from the outline, including all sections required by our quality standard (H2 headlines, worked examples, FAQ, glossary terms)
  • Step 4 (Senior Editor — Sarah Johnson): Edit for clarity, structure, tone, and adherence to editorial standards; cuts redundancy, sharpens specific claims, ensures front-loaded answers in each H2 section
  • Step 5 (Senior Reviewer — Anna Petrov, CFA): Fact-check, regulatory-compliance review, risk-disclosure verification; signs off only when every claim is verifiable and risk warnings are complete

Platform Testing Protocol

Strategy guides, asset reviews, and feature documentation require first-hand verification of every claim on the live Quotex platform. Authors maintain a dedicated editorial-test account with the same access as a real user. The testing protocol is below.

  • Test 1 — Place at least 20 demo trades using the strategy/feature being documented, across at least 3 different assets and 2 different sessions (London, NY)
  • Test 2 — Take UTC-timestamped screenshots of each test trade: entry chart, exit result, P/L screen
  • Test 3 — Document any platform quirks or edge cases encountered (e.g., payout fluctuations, indicator render delays, mobile-vs-desktop differences)
  • Test 4 — Verify payout claims by re-checking payout at three different times-of-day and recording the values
  • Test 5 — Confirm withdrawal mechanics by initiating a small ($10) test withdrawal and documenting the actual processing time
  • Test 6 — For app-related content, install on both Android and iOS and verify feature parity with desktop

Data Sources We Use

Our content cites publicly verifiable data sources for every quantitative claim. We do not invent statistics or use placeholder numbers. When data is unavailable, we say so explicitly rather than inventing.

  • Quotex platform itself — for payouts, available assets, supported countries, app version (verified live)
  • TradingView Premium — for historical price data used in backtests
  • Bloomberg Terminal — for institutional FX and rates data (subscribed access)
  • ICE Data Services — for commodity price benchmarks
  • Regulator websites — FCA UK, CySEC, ESMA, SEC, AMF, ASIC, SECP Pakistan, SEBI India for regulatory claims
  • CFA Institute and GARP — for credential verification and curriculum-aligned definitions
  • Academic papers — peer-reviewed financial-economics journals for theoretical claims

Fact-Check Process

Every numerical, regulatory, or factual claim in an article is fact-checked before publication. The fact-check is performed by Anna Petrov (senior reviewer) using the data sources listed above. Common fact-check categories: claims about payouts (verified against live platform), claims about regulator status (verified against regulator website), claims about historical price moves (verified against Bloomberg/TradingView), claims about industry statistics (verified against published research). If a claim cannot be verified, it is either removed or rephrased to remove the unverified specific (e.g., '~60% win rate' becomes 'reasonable win rate' if backtest data is unavailable).

Corrections Policy

When we publish an error and become aware of it, we correct the article and log the correction publicly. We do not silently edit articles — every substantive correction is documented at /corrections/ with: the date of correction, the URL of the affected article, the nature of the error, the corrected content. Cosmetic edits (typos, formatting) are not logged. Substantive corrections (factual errors, outdated data, regulatory updates) are always logged. Our corrections policy is one of the strongest E-E-A-T signals we provide to readers.

Article Update Cadence

We update articles on three cycles: (1) Monthly updates for time-sensitive content (payouts, current promo codes, country-specific regulatory status) — handled by Senior Editor; (2) Quarterly reviews for evergreen strategy and asset content — handled by Senior Reviewer; (3) Immediate updates for regulatory changes affecting reader safety (e.g., a country newly restricting access). The 'Last updated' date in each article's byline reflects the most recent substantive update, not the most recent cosmetic change.

Conflict-of-Interest Disclosure

Quotex receives affiliate commissions when readers sign up via our links. This commercial relationship is the source of our revenue and is disclosed in the affiliate-disclosure block below every CTA on every article. Our editorial standards require that this commercial relationship does not affect the accuracy of our content: payouts are reported as observed, regulator restrictions are reported fully (including listing countries where Quotex is NOT available), and known platform issues are documented honestly. Our editorial team's compensation is not tied to affiliate conversion — editors are paid a fixed salary regardless of click-through or sign-up rates. Anna Petrov (senior reviewer) is contractually authorized to refuse publication of any article she believes misleads readers, even if such refusal reduces commercial outcomes.
