  • Resolution at least 1024×768 pixels — most phone cameras exceed this easily
  • JPG or PNG format, under 10MB per file
  • Original color (no black-and-white scans, no filters)

  • Step 2 — Click 'Upload ID' → select front of passport/ID → upload
  • Step 3 — For two-sided IDs: click 'Upload ID Back' → upload

After Verification

What if my address has changed since the utility bill?

Update your Quotex profile address FIRST, then submit a utility bill matching the NEW address. Otherwise the system will reject for mismatch between profile and proof of address. Documents must be from the last 90 days at your CURRENT address.

Can I use my mom's utility bill if it's at the same house?

Generally no — the proof of address must be IN YOUR NAME. If utility is in a parent's name, alternatives: bank statement in your name; tax letter in your name; government letter (e.g., voter ID confirmation) in your name. Mortgage/rental agreement in your name also acceptable.

Why does Quotex need my selfie with ID?

Anti-fraud measure — ensures the person uploading the ID is actually the person on the ID (not someone using stolen identity documents). This is standard KYC practice across financial services and required by AML regulations in most jurisdictions.

What if I'm a minor (under 18)?

You cannot legally open or use a Quotex account. The age requirement is 18+ (21+ in some jurisdictions). During KYC, your date of birth on ID is checked. Underage accounts are closed and balances forfeited. Wait until legal age before registering.

Can I use a digital ID (mobile-stored passport)?

No. Quotex requires photo of physical document, not digital screen-grabs. Take a photo of your actual passport/ID with your phone camera.

How long does verification last?

Verification is permanent for the account unless triggers AML re-review (large transactions, unusual patterns, document expiry approaching). If your ID is approaching expiry, Quotex may request a fresh document a few months before. Otherwise, one-time verification is good for the life of the account.
