Are there scheduled news events I should avoid?
Yes. Major scheduled news (NFP first Friday of month, FOMC meetings, ECB rate decisions, CPI releases) create extreme volatility 5 minutes before and after release. Yes. You can have unlimited concurrent positions on different assets, and even multiple positions on the same asset with different expiries.
